Bhoapl: CM Mohan Yadav and Union agriculture minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday unveiled and laid foundation stones for development works worth over Rs 113 crore in Sehore, while reaffirming their commitment to welfare schemes and infrastructure growth in the district.
Besides, the CM announced Rs 50 crore for Sehore municipality and distributed approval letters for various welfare schemes. He highlighted the historic significance of Sehore, recalling its sacrifices during the 1857 freedom struggle, where 356 revolutionaries laid down their lives.
Yadav reaffirmed that the welfare schemes initiated during Chouhan's tenure as CM would be continued. The Ladli Bahna Yojana will be further strengthened with the assistance amount increased to Rs 3,000. Emphasising agricultural development, the CM promised irrigation water to every farm in Sehore. He said the district would soon enter a new phase of development as part of the expanding Bhopal Metropolitan Region.
Highlighting progress under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, Yadav said MP was among the leading states in terms of development. He mentioned wheat procurement at Rs 2,600 per quintal and comprehensive infrastructure development across all regions of the state.
He also stated that the number of medical colleges in MP would increase from 30 to 50 within two years.
Union minister Chouhan said continuous development was taking place in the country, and the state under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Yadav. called for active public participation in the drive for a developed India.
He urged citizens to conserve water and electricity and to keep their surroundings clean and drug-free. Chouhan emphasised that increasing women's empowerment by making more Lakhpati Didis remains a priority.
He shared that the central govt has approved the construction of 7, 85,356 houses under the 2018 PM Awas Yojana (Awas Plus list) at a cost of Rs 9424.03 crore. A state-wide survey was underway to ensure housing benefits reach all eligible beneficiaries, he said.
Yadav Cracks Down On Police Recruitment Fraud
CM Mohan Yadav has directed strict action following reports of fraud and irregularities in the Police Constable Recruitment process-2023. He stated that such criminal acts, which lead to injustice against deserving candidates, will not be tolerated in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav mentioned that the Police Headquarters has taken suo-moto cognizance of the matter and is thoroughly verifying the biometric data and Aadhaar history of all selected candidates. In cases where impersonation has been prima facie established, criminal cases have been registered, and strict legal action is being ensured.
