JAIPUR/ALWAR: Three men were killed in a high-speed crash early Friday morning when their car slammed into a stationary trailer on the Jaipur-Delhi National Highway near Neemrana in the Kotputli-Behror district.
The victims were returning to Gurgaon, where the police said they worked at the same company, from a visit to the Khatushyam temple. The crash occurred around 3am on NH-48 when the vehicle, travelling at high speed, collided with a trailer parked on the roadside. The impact was so intense that the front of the car was completely destroyed, and the vehicle became wedged into the trailer.
Police said the deceased were identified as Satish Gaur, 42 from Khandsa in Gurgaon; Ankush Singh, 38, from Saharanpur; and Gurmeet Singh, 52, from Ambala.
One Virendra Sharma, 62, from Khandsa in Gurgaon, survived with injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Gurgaon. The other three died on the spot. All four were colleagues at a company based in Gurgaon. The car wreckage was so tightly jammed into the trailer that a crane was used to pull out the bodies. The incident led to a traffic disruption on the highway for about 30 minutes until police managed to clear the vehicles and restore movement. The bodies have been kept at the Neemrana CHC for post-mortem.
