New petrol, diesel cabs to be banned in Delhi-NCR from this date: Details

Starting January 1, 2026, Delhi-NCR will prohibit petrol and diesel vehicles from joining cab aggregator, delivery, and e-commerce fleets, as announced by CAQM. This directive targets light commercial vehicles and two-wheelers, pushing for electric or CNG alternatives. The move aligns with Delhi's scheme to regulate vehicle aggregators and aims to reduce air pollution in the region.
