Govt summons Nandan Nilekani over persisting GSTN glitches
The government has asked Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani to make a presentation before the GST Council, as the company has repeatedly failed to fix glitches in the GST Network (GSTN), the technology backbone for the indirect tax. The GST Council, headed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is scheduled to meet on March 14. Repeated problems with GSTN, which taxpayers claimed often delay filings beyond the deadline and lead to penalties, have also led to the Supreme Court recently asking the government to resolve technical difficulties.
