Elvish Yadav has been making headlines after winning Roadies XX. The reality show star lifted the trophy alongside Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu. He gave an exclusive interview to Times of India TV, where he opened up about his journey, the ups and downs in the industry, controversy with Prince Narula, and more.
“My journey as a gang leader on Roadies XX was amazing. Initially, I didn’t know what to do or how to play, but my fellow gang leaders helped me, and I learnt a lot from them. I came on the show only for the love of the audience and didn’t expect to win. However, now that I’ve won, it feels amazing.”
“Gullu didn’t get many chances on the show. He was evicted when he first came and later made a wildcard entry. However, he did very well whenever he got a chance, and according to me, he’s a very deserving winner. If Yogesh from my gang had won, I’d be equally happy.”
“Prince is my least favourite gang leader out of everyone, as we are not on talking terms anymore. Whatever controversy has happened, I’m not at all a part of it. I’m done with fighting and then putting up a story while resolving everything. You won’t see any stories from my end now. I want to live a peaceful life without any drama, and Prince can do whatever he wants.”
“When I used to make roast videos on YouTube, I saw some viral clips where Neha was saying ‘it’s her choice,’ etc., to a contestant. I had a very negative perception of her. However, when I came on the show, I saw a very different side to her. Our humour and way of thinking are very similar, and hence we got close.”
“Bigg Boss has been a turning point in my life. Before Bigg Boss, I used to do Bigg Boss-related content, because of which I became slightly famous. However, Bigg Boss opened doors for me in Mumbai. I had never seen Mumbai before, but the show helped me with many opportunities.”
“It’s very difficult to travel all the way for shoots, and my parents are done with me. They ask me to do whatever I want as long as I’m not sitting idle, doing nothing at home. When I’m doing nothing, I tend to irritate my family members, and hence I want to tell everyone to go outside and work.”
“I’ve an amazing bond with everyone on the show. Vicky bhai, Ankita Lokhande, Rubina Dilaik, and everyone else is just amazing, and I enjoy a lot with them. I ask them to bring food for me from home, and they do. Fans love my bond with Rubina. I read about it on social media and feel good about it.”
“I don’t think any parent would like that for their children. My parents were extremely sad when this happened, but I think this is what life is about. Sometimes things are good, and sometimes they are not. But now I am trying to stay away from any controversy.”
