Anil Kapoor once revealed on The Kapil Sharma Show that Tezaab originally featured only Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song 'Ek Do Teen,' but he persuaded Javed Akhtar to write a male version for him, which was later added to the film.On The Kapil Sharma Show, Anil recalled his reaction after first hearing 'Ek Do Teen' from Tezaab. Impressed by how catchy and powerful the track was, he immediately felt it would be a superhit and told composer Laxmikant that he wanted to perform a version of it too.The actor revealed that after being impressed by 'Ek Do Teen,' he insisted on having a male version added to Tezaab. Although composer Laxmikant initially resisted, saying it was meant to be a female solo, Anil pushed for it and convinced lyricist Javed Akhtar to write new lyrics. He praised Javed’s talent and persuaded him to make it work, even though the song wasn’t originally in the script.
