The Harry Potter universe is officially returning to the screen — and this time with an all-new cast! HBO has unveiled the three newcomers who will lead its upcoming Harry Potter TV series as the beloved Hogwarts trio.

Dominic McLaughlin has been cast as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout takes on the role of Ron Weasley. In the iconic films, these roles were immortalized by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint across eight blockbuster movies.

HBO announced the casting on its official Instagram handle, sharing a photo of the fresh trio alongside a Hogwarts-style note, “Dear Mr. Potter, Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley: We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please welcome Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter.”
