Soorarai Pottru: Suriya wraps up the shoot of his 38th project

The shoot of Sudha Kongara’s upcoming project Soorarai Pottru was wrapped up yesterday. The film stars Suriya Sivakumar, Aparana Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Karunas, Jackie Shroff and Paresh Rawal, Senthil Ganesh and among others. It was predominantly shot in Chandigarh. The film is speculated to be based on the actual event that happened in the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who founded Air Deccan.
Soorarai Pottru has been produced by Suriya, Rajasekar Karpoorasundarapandian Guneet Monga under the banner of 2D Entertainment in association with Sikhya Entertainment. Sudha Kongara’s last directorial venture was Irudhi Suttru (2016). In 2017, she had helmed the Telugu remake of Irudhi Suttru titled Guru, starring Venkatesh and Ritika Singh.
Niketh Bommireddy handles the cinematography of Soorarai Pottru while GV Prakash Kumar composes music. Greg Powell, who is known for his work in films such as Skyfall and Bourne Ultimatum, choreographed mind-blowing stunts for the film. Soorarai Pottru marks the actor’s 38th project.
