After watching her as Mohanlal’s daughter and class XI student in Drishyam, one would've imagined her to be a school child. However Ansiba Hassan insists that playing daughter role is not her only forte. “I want to break an image that I have created. I don't want to stick to one particular thing and just keep doing it. In fact I am in the my final year of my graduate programme and feel awkward when people of my age come to me and call me ‘mole’.
And that is the prime reason why I am tying my hand at romance now,” says Ansiba who is gearing up for upcoming movie John Honayi, opposite Krish Sathar.
However, the actress is quick to add that sharing screen space with Mohanlal was a dream come true. “Being a newbie, my state of affairs was no different from the famous dialogue in the movie – but Mohanlal always encourages his co-stars and keeps us in a comfort zone. Those memories I will treasure for a life time,” reminisces the excited actress.
Having done more than four films in Kollywood, Ansiba confesses that she never wished to be in the limelight “It was my mom, who was really crazy about films and forced me to do films. It was for her happiness that I acted in it. But, today I also love the fame and name given to me by films.
Meanwhile, Ansiba will soon start shooting for the film John Honayi, in which she will be seen in the garb of a very mature woman. "I don't have the liberty to talk about my character. All I can say for now is that she works in a Dubai travel agency. With this film, I hope to break the mould of being perceived as a young school going girl.” she says.
