Sadhu Kokila returns to direction with Jolly Life

After a long hiatus, music director, singer and comedian Sadhu Kokila has returned to direction with Jolly Life, which is based on college students. The muhurtha was recently held at a temple near Kengeri.
Jolly Life marks Sadhu Kokila’s comeback to direction after Bhale Jodi. He has earlier directed movies like Gange Baare Thunge Baare, Rakshasa, Devru, Police Story 3, Shourya, Raktha Kanneeru, Suntaragaali, Anatharu, Mr Teertha, Super Ranga and more.Jolly Life will feature a bunch of newbies for which the team had auditioned for young actors throughout Karnataka. The task of selecting the actors was given to veteran actor Suchendra Prasad.
The selected candidates are currently being trained before they begin shooting. Suraag, Sadhu Kokila's son, will fill in as music composer. Gundlupete Suresh is the cinematographer and Jeevan Prakash the editor. The film team plans to begin shooting from April and release the movie in August.
Meanwhile, Sadhu Kokila has turned television producer with the serial Gowripurada Gayalligalu. He has also crooned the title track of the serial.
