In an interview with Mashable India, Huma expressed her gratitude for the acceptance she received from her first film. She recalled meeting David Dhawan at a coffee shop soon after Gangs of Wasseypur. She was thrilled to see him and noted that he approached her, which she found quite special.



The actress further mentioned that the filmmaker praised her acting skills, advising her to disregard suggestions about altering her appearance. He emphasized that once the audience accepts an actor, the primary focus should be on entertaining them, rather than conforming to external pressures.



Huma reflected on how impactful it was to receive such insightful advice from industry veterans like David. She emphasized the importance of noting down and remembering such valuable guidance when given spontaneously by experienced seniors.

Huma, who started her production journey with the 2022 film Double XL, addressed body toxicity by highlighting that people often aren't satisfied with their appearances and tend to think the "grass is always greener on the other side." She stressed the importance of accepting people as they are, noting that striving for perfection is unrealistic. With a touch of humor, she added that if she were to become even more perfect, it might just cause chaos, given the attention she already receives.
