TV actor Roja Shree booked for obstructing police on duty during husband's bar brawl arrest in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: TV actress Roja Shree was booked for obstructing police from discharging duties. The action follows arrest of her husband, R Ganesh Kumar, 42, in connection with a bar brawl, and her allegation that police entered her home and seized valuables without court warrant.Nungambakkam police booked her under three sections for defaming and obstructing govt officials on duty. Kumar was among five men nabbed over an assault at a bar. Fight over playing a song turned violent, during which A Venkat Kumar, 45, of Gopalapuram was attacked. Police arrested Kumar, T Prasad, 33, K Dhanasekar, 29, T Ajayrohan, 36, and V Nagendra Sethupathi, 33. Prasad is state vice-president of AIADMK IT wing, and Sethupathi is listed 'A' category rowdy at Paramakudi police station and also AIADMK functionary.
